    RAILROAD LAWYERS

Lindell & Lavoie, LLP and our partners represent railroad workers who have been subject to harassment, retaliation, unlawful workplace discipline, or who have been injured on the job. We have recently partnered with Eight & Sand, a leading law firm in San Diego, and Garella Law out of North Carolina. Both firms routinely handle railroad cases in courts throughout the country, for members of all crafts. Whether you live in Minnesota or elsewhere, and work for a Class 1 railroad or a short line, give us a call – chances are, whatever your situation, we or one of our experienced partners can help.

    Railroad Legal Services

Railroad Retaliation (Federal Railroad Safety Act)

The Federal Railroad Safety Act (FRSA) is a Federal law that makes it illegal for railroads to discipline its employees in any way for their work-related injury or safety reports. We partner with national leaders in FRSA litigation and no other team of firm has done as much to increase the rights of railroad workers in this area of the law.

A FRSA case must be filed within 180 days of when the discriminatory action was taken against you. Because of this short time frame, and because there are often multiple discriminatory acts that can trigger the 180 days, it is important to seek legal advice as soon as possible.

Railroad Injuries (Federal Employers Liability Act)

Railroad employees are not automatically entitled to receive compensation for on-the-job injuries, unlike most workers in this country. Instead, railroad workers are covered under the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) which permits injured employees to bring a lawsuit against their employer to recover for injuries caused by the negligence of the railroad. Our practice has joined the fight to ensure railroad workers and their families get the representation they deserve.

Have you been injured in a railroad accident in Minnesota? We are here for you. Contact us online or by telephone at 612-339-8811 or toll free at 888-339-8811 to arrange a free initial consultation with a knowledgeable Minneapolis railroad injury lawyer.
